The Journey Ahead

roadtraveled.jpg

Meeting people on Twitter is nothing new, but I can say that it is an exciting adventure, none the less. I recently friended @jacklhasa (who is a super cool tweeter) and learned something very envious about him and his friend. You see, Twitter in itself is quite the journey but @jacklhasa and @scarab are taking the term “journey” to an entirely new level. They are gonna pack up, ship out, and travel cross country in search of work, sanctuary, and camaraderie.

The purpose of the trip? —>From the mouth of Jack, “The purpose of the trip is the all-important pursuit of the American Dream. We are young and terribly aware of the Fear. We need more experiences in order to become the people we want to be.”

They are asking for any kind of help that you can give.

  • Blog about it, including links, to spread the word to your friends.
  • Donate money via pay pal (email address is: jackstravelfund at Yahoo dot com)
  • Offer work, lodging, transportation (they may be hitch hiking and thats scary)
  • Anything you can do, even if its a few words of encouragement. Every little bit will be greatly appreciated!!

To learn more or to keep up with the travels, here is JACKS BLOG and his TUMBLR LOG.

To Jack and Scarab~~ I wish you both the best of luck, safe travels, and that you achieve all that you are looking for. Just remember …. don’t forget to stop and smell the roses along the way =)

“Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found, not in finishing an activity, but in doing it” ~~Greg Anderson~~

“I shall be telling this with a sigh
    Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
